WOW. I sure had some neat responses to the smoking hot Ramble. Thank you for sharing your
comments with me.
I have so many directions I want to go today! I need to rein it in and focus. Hmmm – focus might be
a great topic! Anyone out there have trouble focusing?
All my life, I dealt with focus – or loss of it. I’ve read so many how-to-clean-your-house-without-
spending-a-year-working-on-it articles and books, I should open a bookstore! I even got
categorized.
“Hello. My name is Nan and I am a wanderer.” What this means is that I wander from room to room.
I don’t mean I’m lost and I don’t mean I’m looking for something. What I mean is something along the
lines of:
I think I will begin cleaning the living room. Ah ha! There are the glasses I was looking for! I shall put them
in my bathroom drawer so that I know where they are and they don’t get broken. Oh look! There is my
coffee mug. Wonder how it got in the bathroom? I shall take it to the kitchen, put it on the counter then go
back to the living room to clean. WHAT IS THAT? Oh my gosh – there is my favorite lip gloss! How did it get
behind the trash can? I guess it fell out of my purse that last time I was searching for my keys! Cool. I
think I’ll put some on. Eeewww – I look ragged. I think I’ll put some mascara on now then I don’t have to
do it later. Wow – I need some cologne. I love my cologne. I have so many different types of cologne –
hey! What is that lotion doing in here? It is supposed to be in the main bath where the tub is. I think I’ll
take it in there – oh – and put this coffee mug in the kitchen which is on the way – then get back to the
living room. Man, I need some music. Music is good to clean house by. I’ll get some oldies on – they are
always good to make you wanna dance. I think I’ll go to the den and put the satellite radio on, then get
back to the living room. Oh, guess I can multi-task and do laundry while I’m cleaning. I shall go into the
laundry room and start a load of laundry. Well poo – I have a load in the washer AND dryer. I’ll take the
clothes out of the dryer, put them on the folding table and start drying that other load. OK, I will take this
basket full of clothes and fold them in the den while listening to oldies but goodies. Hey, there is my 6-pack
of water. Better put it in the fridge to get it cold. Man, there’s no room – better clean this fridge out. Lots
of stuff to toss. Wonder if I buy fresh veggies just to throw them away? Yuuuck – what is that?? I’d better
take it outside and toss it on the burn pile by the garden. MAN! What’s that hose doing here. Better wind
it up to get it out of the way – oh, guess I could put the sprinkler on and water my flower garden….
And on and on and on. And my hubby wonders what I did today. I’ll tell you what I did – I worked
like a dog – I slaved – I got a LOT of stuff done – BUT I did not get the living room cleaned. Wonder
why that is???
